LSMU in Kaunas offers a six-year integrated medicine programme in English that leads to a master's degree in health sciences and the medical doctor qualification. Clinical training
The university hospital Kauno klinikos is the main clinical base, and dozens of other accredited hospitals across Lithuania are also used for clinical practice in years 4-6.
Accreditation & licensing
- Medicine programme accredited by Lithuania's Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC), which holds WFME recognition (granted 2023, valid to 2033)
LSMU says that, because its accreditor SKVC is WFME-recognized from 2024, medical graduates can take the USMLE without restrictions.
